Castle Doctrine claims another innocent life in Lakeland, FL as 24 year-old Chevez Antwann Fiason was shot early this morning when he tried to open the wrong door in a house.
Specifically, the wrong door he was attempting to open was an entry door to a house and the attempt to open it was described by authorities as “forcing his way in”. And then he opened fire.
Florida’s evil, racist Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground Laws permitted the homeowner to defend himself with force sufficient to stop the threat to the homeowner and the other occupants.
As a result of these laws, the homeowner was not forced to run or hide or restrained from using force of his own, resulting in no injuries and the death of only the assailant.
Strangely, we didn’t hear about this on the national news. We haven’t seen anyone starting up a protest for Mr. Fiason’s obviously unjust slaughter. All we've heard, really, is from the Polk County Sherifff, "Forcing your way into an occupied residence is a bold and foolish decision. If you are foolish enough to break into someone's home, you can expect to be shot in Polk County,"
But we’re hearing LOADS about Texas’ new Open Carry Laws and how law abiding citizens will be gunning each other down in the streets or crossing fire trying to cap a shoplifter from the Dollar Store.
