An unidentified was wheeled into a Fort Worth ER, suffering from a totally unjustified gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The unidentified man may have been staying at the local Extended Stay America motel when he decided to pull a gun on another guest and rob him. Unfortunately, the would-be victim had no sense of social justice and refused to allow this man the space to express his needs.
The robbery target, instead of simply allowing the man to take what he wanted and leave in peace, pulled an evil, stinky gun out and fired into his “assailant’s” stomach, totally disregarding the man’s right to work as an armed robber, as well as his right to be free of the fear of gun-fondling Rambo fetishists with a Concealed Handgun License to Kill (in defense of his ego) opposing his Nature-Given right to be a predator.
Further, according to the police (if THEY can be believed), the Licensed Killer decided to shoot the man before calling 9-1-1. Does it really matter if the crime happens in an instant? If you’re totally innocent, you should call the police before you do anything else. This way, you don’t NEED your own gun and you won’t have to hurt the person who’s trying to possibly hurt you.
After all, two wrongs don’t make a right and we should always allow the government the opportunity to come to our defense instead of taking the law into our own hands and sending hot, leaden death flying all over the place in our attempt to retain our manhood.
Back here in reality, another violent criminal got precisely what was coming to him when he made the conscious decision to pull out a most-likely-unlawfully-acquired firearm and use it against someone.
The erstwhile victim acted with speed, intensity, violence of action, and precision. Firing a single shot into his assailant, disabling him, and then summoning police once he had some breathing space.
As is usual with handguns, the attacker was not killed and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he was stabilize and transferred.
This is something that you should be aware of, should you be called upon to act as your own first responder. The incident may unfold in seconds. And while our fictional progressive in the first few paragraphs may abhor use of force by “right-thinking persons”, calling the police and asking your attacker to wait a sec is generally not how these things go.
Take care of the immediate threat, then, when the scene is safe or you’ve retreated to a safe area, call the police.
