Younger Brother Slaughtered by Older Brother

12 August 2016, Saint Louis, Missouri

“I don’t care if you want to hunt. I don’t care if you think it’s your right. I say, ‘Sorry. You are not allowed to own a gun,’and if you DO own a gun, I think you should go to prison.” – Rosie O’Donnel, protected by private, armed security guards.

“We should be licensing everybody with a gun. I have to have a license for my dog. I have to have a license for my car. If you’re going to do my hair later you have to have a license ... We don’t require a license to own a firearm?” – Michael Moore, protected by armed bodyguards carrying illegal, unlicensed, concealed firearms.

“Congress should act to limit the sale of assault weapons.” – Mark Kelly, Astronaut, husband of Rep. Gabby Giffords, and Founder of Anti-2nd Amendment group “American for Responsible Solutions”. Was later seen purchasing an AR-15 and a 1911 clone.

“New York is the safest big city in the nation.” – Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City. Surrounded by armed guards and security systems 24/7.

“Nobody in the City needs a shotgun; Nobody Needs a Rifle.” – Boston Police Commissioner Bill Evans, totally enveloped by men and women with guns every day.

See a pattern here?

The point is that all of these leaders; thought leaders, political leaders, police leaders, and space cadets agree that nobody really needs a gun. Their point is that if nobody has a gun, then America won’t have a violence problem anymore.

It is with this in mind that we turn to the tale of two brothers, one gunned down in the prime of middle age. His survival left to the whims of chance by a gun-toting, lead-slinging maniac: his elder brother.

Gary Peters, 48, was hanging out with his brother, 56, and his brother’s girlfriend, 67, when, apparently, he saw a Zika mosquito or gnat land on her head. As he tried to swat her head, the elder Peters mistook his gentle tap with some kind of attack and opened fire on Gary, striking him in the stomach. He died in the hospital.

The woman, apparently too delicate to withstand the slight force Gary used to try to shoo away whatever was on her head, was treated for blunt force trauma to the head.

Sadly, no charges have been filed and Gary’s killer, his own blood, remains free to overreact again.

But WAS it an overreaction?

According to the police who haven’t filed charges against the elder Peters or his girlfriend, little Gary had grabbed a hammer and attacked the 67 year-old woman.

The brother, seeking to defend a 67 year-old woman from a suddenly-hammer-wielding attacker, opened fire. The brother, struck once in the stomach, stopped his attack and collapsed, dying later in the hospital.

The girlfriend survived, but was taken to the hospital where she was treated for blunt-force trauma wounds to her skull. She was last listed in stable condition

While it’s nice that the notable quotables we lead with are able to afford their perfect little security sphere, most Americans can’t.

But that doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that they, the people who know what’s good for you, are protected FROM you, the unwashed masses. IF that means that a few more cashiers or old people get murdered with a hammer, then so be it.
